Financial Wellness Consultant

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Generate and process consumer loan applications. Evaluate member information which reflects current credit worthiness and prepare loan documents for underwriting approval based on ACU lending policies and procedures. Ensure accurate processing by making sure each loan application is complete and the loan is properly documented, closed, disbursed, and filed. Contact member and explain reason for any loan denial.
- Verify membership eligibility and open accounts for new members. Ensure account cards are completed accurately with appropriate signatures and required identification. Provide members with all necessary membership disclosures.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products, services, policies, and applicable regulations.
- Utilize active listening skills to position appropriate financial solutions to each member.
- Create a great member experience and solidify ACU loyalty by effectively responding to member needs.
- Manage risk scenarios by utilizing sound judgement, high ethics, and prudence built upon an extensive knowledge of ACU policies and procedures.
- Be a brand ambassador in all interactions with members, employees, ACU board members, and volunteers.
- Actively participate in all required compliance and behavioral skill training that equip one for excellent job performance
- Utilize available resources such as outbound calls, financial wellness conversations, targeted outreach campaigns and center of influence activities to capitalize on each member interaction.
- Other duties as requested by Senior Leadership or manager.
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
- 2 + years of retail sales and/or equivalent experience.
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to problem solve, empathize, and find workable solutions which mutually benefit ACU and its membership.
Credit Union Processor – Teller

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Receive checks, money, debit and credit payments from members.
- Solve any issues that pertain to the transactions.
- Follow company procedures to count and manage all the funds received from members.
- Use provided system to document all transactions conducted during their shift.
- Reconcile all transactions at the end of day.
- Cross-sell credit union products by continually informing members of new services and product promotions.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all state and federal rules and regulations applicable to transactions performed on the teller line including Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act OFAC, Regulation C and Regulation D.
- Other duties as requested by the President, EVP, or manager.

Loan Risk Analyst
Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Loan Risk Representative to join our Ashland Credit Union business at our Ashland, KY location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the credit union function. This position will report to the Loan Risk Manager.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Exercise lending authority within policy guidelines. After judging risks and mitigants, analyzing credit, reviewing collateral strength and financial worthiness of loan/transaction parties.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for all ACU loan offerings
- Ensure loan requests are decisioned within the specified time frames under applicable laws and lending regulations. Responsible for the accuracy and efficacy of adverse action, counteroffer, and withdrawn loan processes.
- Review all lending applications and supporting documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Ashland Credit Union lending policies and procedures.
- Analyze financial documentation such as tax returns, W2s, 1099s, payroll statements, and other forms of source documentation that provides evidence of member income.
- Review credit reports, applicable ratios utilized to determine a member's ability to repay, and other supporting documentation needed to make an appropriate credit decision.
- Review additional documentation such as titles, appraisals, valuation tools, and property reports that verifies collateral ownership and collateral value for the purposes of obtaining credit.
- Conform to all Fair Lending and anti-discrimination laws set forth by the NCUA and other applicable regulatory bodies.
- Other duties as requested by the Loan Risk Manager or the VP of Member Experience.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
- Experience in lending and credit analysis

- Understanding of federal laws and regulations as they apply to consumer loans, mortgage loans, visa credit cards, and business/commercial loans
- Ability to collaborate with other managers and work to create balanced processes that satisfy the interests of both parties.

IT Operations Specialist
Ashland has an exciting opportunity for an IT Operations Specialist to join our Ashland Credit Union business at our Ashland, KY location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and its IT Department. This position will report to the Credit Union VP of IT.
.The IT Operations Specialist performs a vital role in our continuous effort to grow the Credit Union’s market position by providing technical assistance to our members and staff, performing technical solutions to business problems, and ensuring the security and confidentiality of private information stored on and accessed through the ACU computing environment. The position will also assist in delivering a world-class banking experience to members both inside and outside the branch. The position requires technical prowess, communication skills (written, personal, and presentation) along with attention to detail.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Deliver service in alignment with ACU’s Service Standards, Policies and Procedures while meeting all established service goals.
- Provide first-level technical support to both internal staff and current or prospective credit union members.
- Assist in maintenance and administration of the CU network, servers, PC equipment, data processing system, backups, and other technical systems.
- Perform maintenance, administration, and support of IT Operations systems, including core data processing system, CU network, servers, PCs, laptops, backups, and other technical systems.
- Accurately execute daily, monthly, and annual processing tasks and checklists while minimizing errors.
- Assist the IT department in the ongoing implementation, maintenance, and performance of fraud detection and prevention systems as well as security best practices.
- Maintain awareness of current technology and information security trends to appropriately identify new and emerging vulnerabilities, security issues in need of attention, and technical solutions that add efficiency or beneficial features and functions for ACU’s members, staff, or computing environment.
- Design and implement technical solutions to a variety of business needs.
- Occasional travel, including both single and multi-day outings. May include unplanned travel to respond to and/or resolve incidents.

- Ability to work in office Monday thru Friday with willingness to work odd or irregular hours on occasion, both planned and unplanned, to perform maintenance or implement processes outside peak hours, respond to incidents, or investigate or resolve unplanned system or service outages
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent in computer science or related field (bachelor’s preferred)
- Ability to evaluate and understand member and business needs while communicating effectively
- Thorough knowledge of computer operations, network, database, and information security concepts.
- Expertise in troubleshooting, Microsoft Windows & Office environments, virtual computing, and networking technologies
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complicated technical problems, see them through to a satisfactory resolution, and communicate solutions effectively
- Technical writing skills for authoring procedures or technical documents and manuals
- The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:
- 1-3 years of customer service experience
- Experience supporting and/or administering VMWare, MS SQL Server, AIX Operating System.
- Knowledge of banking and credit union principles
- Applicable IT certifications (such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CISSP, MCSE)
Mortgage Loan Originator- Cottage Grove, MN Branch Location
Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Mortgage Loan Originator to join our Ashland Credit Union business at our Cottage Grove, MN Branch Location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Credit Union. This position will report to The Mortgage Loan Supervisor.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Deliver service in alignment with ACU’s vision, mission, and values
- Interview loan applicants and assist them with the mortgage loan application process ensuring completeness and accuracy of the application
- Evaluate applicants needs and advise them on appropriate ACU mortgage loan options
- Obtain and evaluate credit bureau reports on all applicants, verify debts and ensure payments are accurately reflected
- Maintain compliance with all state and Federal laws related to mortgage lending including timely delivery of all documents in accordance with TRID guidelines
- Continually communicate loan status with member including reasons for any loan denial
- Respond to mortgage inquiries in a timely manner. Promote other ACU financial products and services as appropriate
- Develop mortgage loan business through interactions with members/potential members, site visits and relationships with local realtors
