Collections Supervisor 

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Collection Supervisor to join Ashland Credit Union, business at our Ashland, Kentucky. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Credit Union function. This position will report to AVP - Collections/Controls.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Overseeing Collection Department daily workflows.  Working with AVP of Collections to monitor the effectiveness of procedures.
  • Assign, monitor, and supervise the Collections Department to ensure efficient flow of work.
  • Communicate collection procedure requirements to staff and monitor for compliance to procedures to protect the credit union’s interests ensuring members are handled courteously.
  • Establish and maintain effective employee relations. 
  • Analyze past due accounts, reviewing payment history and documentation to ensure adequate payment arrangements are made.
  • Responsible for ACU Repossessed Vehicle tracking, including scheduling of sales.  Collection Supervisor to report all scheduled sales to AVP.
  • Responsible for Bankruptcy Tracking schedule, including filing of proof of claims and follow-up of bankruptcy cases, conferring with the AVP to develop the best course of action.
  • Assist AVP with board package preparation as needed.
  • Report negative share accounts to Chex Systems on a monthly basis. Present accounts to AVP for legal proceedings approval. Keep up to date on rules and regulations to ensure Collections department is following applicable legal requirements.
  • Other duties as requested by the President, EVP, or Manager

Engagement Specialist 

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for an Engagement Specialist to join our Ashland Credit Union team at our Ashland, Kentucky location. This is a very visible role within the Credit Union. This position will report to the Marketing Manager.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Building and cultivating strong relationships with ACU's current select employer groups and eligible communities using traditional and digital marketing methods.
  • Build, manage, and maintain a portfolio of businesses and prospective businesses to assist in meeting new membership and loan goals for the organization.
  • Build top-of-mind awareness of the credit union and present products and services through phone calls, in-person visits, and digital media while fostering a relationship and increasing business.
  • Assist in creating business development materials.
  • Initiate and maintain contact with business partners and SEGs and schedule on-going visits to promote Credit Union membership.
  • Researches all communities / regions we serve for community events for involvement and participation.
  • Perform market research to identify new business opportunities to grow membership in the assigned territory.
  • Developing and delivering educational programs, presentations, seminars, or other digital content to build loyalty and add value to ACU membership.
  • Advising management and marketing department on trendsetting ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.
  • Participating in and arranging frequent visits to job sites and company events (such as company outings, open benefits enrollments, new hire orientations) to inform potential members about ACU products & services, answer member questions, and maintain relationships.
  • Work in coordination with Cottage Grove, MN location to discover, identify, and explore potential partnerships and opportunities within eligible employer and community groups using traditional and digital marketing methods.

Credit Union IT Business Solutions Administrator

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for an IT Business Solutions Administrator to join our Ashland Credit Union business in Ashland, KY. In this role, you will help us deliver on our mission by identifying, implementing, and administering progressive and exciting new technology solutions that touch every aspect of our business. You will work with our business units and our service providers to develop efficient new processes and make existing ones work better. You will create solutions with custom scripting, programming, and data management practices. You will embrace difficult challenges and simplify them using technology for our staff and members. You will protect the privacy of our members’ financial and personal information through security best practices and intelligent solution design. Your work will have an impact on our operations and will help ACU to deliver the financial power we promise to our members. At ACU, we do all of this in service of our members and each other. This position will report to the Credit Union VP of Information Technology.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of technical solutions to business problems or challenges through their entire life cycle, including solution design, implementation, training, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Serving as a primary technical resource on projects across multiple departments throughout the Credit Union, connecting technology solutions with their applicable business units and ensuring their successful completion.
  • Enabling the CU to connect systems and implement new solutions by completing data integrations and conversions, automating processes or tasks, and developing custom programs and scripts to meet business needs.
  • Administering database and data analysis systems including report development, optimization, security, backups, and storage methods.
  • Performing software development and/or programming on company intranet, informational and transactional websites, data interfaces, batch processes, and in support of business processes.
  • Observing processes employed throughout the organization to identify technology-based improvements that add efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Providing second-level technical support to internal staff and CU members.
  • Secondary duties include implementation and maintenance of electronic, logical, and physical security best practices and fraud detection and prevention systems as well as maintenance and administration of CU network, servers, PC equipment, data processing system, and other technical systems.
