Ashland, Kentucky Location:
Bookkeeper
Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper to join our Ashland Credit Union located in Ashland, KY. This is a very visible, significant role within the credit union. This position will report to Accounting Supervisor.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Deliver service in alignment with ACU’s Service Standards, Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure that all activities are processed in accordance with GAAP
- Prepare, pay, and file all accounts payable for the credit union. Research and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain all required records necessary for properly filing year end 1099-MISC forms and oversee the filing of said forms
- Journalize all necessary transactions and ensure general ledger is in balance daily
- Analyze and reconcile various general ledger account activity
- Perform a variety of activities to assist the Accounting Supervisor in maintaining the financial, statistical, and accounting records of the credit union
- Research and respond to member questions while providing member education if necessary
- Follow approved ACU retention practices, including the scanning of accounting related documents into the credit union’s document imaging system
- Update job specific procedures as necessary to reflect current operations, reviewing annually at a minimum
- Strictly adhere to all ACU policies, procedures and applicable state and federal compliance standards to protect our members and the credit union from financial harm
- Other duties as requested by the President, EVP, or manager.
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (completed or in-process)
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- High degree of accuracy with attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Ability to work Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm EST
Credit Union Processor – Teller

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Receive checks, money, debit and credit payments from members.
- Solve any issues that pertain to the transactions.
- Follow company procedures to count and manage all the funds received from members.
- Use provided system to document all transactions conducted during their shift.
- Reconcile all transactions at the end of day.
- Cross-sell credit union products by continually informing members of new services and product promotions.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all state and federal rules and regulations applicable to transactions performed on the teller line including Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act OFAC, Regulation C and Regulation D.
- Other duties as requested by the President, EVP, or manager.

Remote Experience Call Center Representative
Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Call Center Representative to join our Ashland Credit Union business at our Ashland, KY location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Call Center Service function. This position will report to Call Center Supervisor.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assure calls are answered in a timely manner and information provided is prompt, detailed and accurate while remaining compliant with all government regulations.
- Listen attentively to member needs and concerns and offer advice. Research and solve member questions, problems, and complainants concerning their credit union account. Ensure proper follow up on member inquiries when necessary.
- Offer additional credit union products and services which will improve a member’s financial well-being, when appropriate.
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
- High school diploma
- Prior financial institution experience preferred
- Prior call center or customer service experience preferred
- Strong relationship building, communication and listening skills
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change
Marketing Project Specialist
Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Project Specialist to join our Ashland Credit Union team at our Ashland, Kentucky location. This position will report to the Marketing Manager.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develops and designs concepts and ideas for advertising, marketing materials and promotional campaigns. Coordinates all media placements and contracts with marketing manager for review. Media placements and contracts include but are not limited to billboard, newspaper, radio, television, school ads, community sponsored signage, etc.
- Writes a wide variety of communications and ensures that communications are accurate, clear, and complete; correct in terms of spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Edits, proofreads, fact-checks, and coordinates production of a variety of corporate and marketing communications materials.
- Maintains and monitors all ACU internal and external communications, POS pieces, and other marketing materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance. (Ad presence)
- Communication liaison with all internal and external departments such as marketing, sales, and all other Credit Union departments.
- Communication liaison with marketing vendors such as advertising agencies and other third party-related organizations.
- Coordinates and oversees social media strategy to increase member click-thru and conversion rates.
- Create/Plan all copy layout for web pages, maintain and update internet/digital display products and rates, including web pages.
- Assist in development, implementation, and timely delivery of monthly and quarterly promotions as well as the ordering of appropriate materials (pens, key chains, etc.) as needed.
- Manage email communication channel, including the creation and design of email blasts, list maintenance, and reporting of results.
- Prepare appropriate and timely messages for Google AdWords Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising.
- Assists Engagement Specialist in researching all communities / regions we serve for community events for involvement and participation.
