Ashland, Kentucky Location:

Credit Union Marketing Manager

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join our business at our Ashland, KY based Credit Union. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Ashland Credit Union marketing function. This position will report to the Vice President of Member Experience.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Deliver service in alignment with ACU’s Service Standards, Policies and Procedures.
  • Develop, implement, and execute a strategic marketing plan to attract potential members, grow product and service adoption among current members, prevent member attrition and dormancy, and respond to organizational priorities and needs.
  • Guide and work in partnership with the creative team to design, develop and implement all advertising and public-facing communications, including print, digital, and video assets.
  • Prepare, and implement an annual marketing budget that includes advertising, sponsorships, community activities, sponsorship activities, and other expenses that support ACU’s strategic plan and track associated expenses.
  • Direct and drive efforts to develop and cultivate current business and community partners while also discovering and pursuing new partnerships that provide growth opportunities among ACU’s field of membership.
  • Arrange and participate in activities, site visits, community gatherings, and other opportunities to share information about ACU products and services and bring them directly to current and prospective members.
  • Continually evaluate ACU products and services against competitors, industry trends, and best practices to ensure that they remain competitive, attractive, and marketable to members and potential members.
  • Manage the credit union’s participation in public, private, and social media outlets to ensure that ACU’s products and services are frequently seen by current and prospective members.
  • Ensure a successful digital footprint by executing a digital marketing strategy that incorporates marketing with ACU’s informational website, online & mobile banking, social media feeds, search engines, email, and other digital tools that comply with all rules and regulations.
  • Evaluate results and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis tools.  Update or change practices accordingly to ensure effectiveness.
  • Develop, apply, and evaluate marketing department policies and procedures. Manage the day-to-day marketing function and provide oversight, direction, evaluation, coaching and development to marketing department staff. 
  • Interact and communicate with departments impacted by promotions, advertising campaigns, collateral materials, etc. so that employees are continually up to date on ACU marketing programs.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field.
  • 5 years of marketing management experience preferred.
  • Strong and effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional and digital advertising and media practices as well as banking and financial principles.
  • Strategic vision with strong project management skills
  • Willingness to travel on both single and multiple day outings to represent ACU at events, visit eligible groups, scout opportunities in eligible communities, or attend professional or training opportunities.
  • Ability to work a schedule that is typically 8am-5pm M-F, but may include odd or irregular hours on occasion to attend CU and community functions

Vice President Business Services, and Mortgage

Ashland Credit Union is looking for an experienced financial executive to join their team as Vice President over Collections, Business Services, and Mortgage. Reporting to the Executive Vice President and working in collaboration with the senior management team, this position will oversee the mortgage, and business services departments by identifying industry trends and performance indicators, recommending new programs and services, and continually evaluating each department’s strategic direction. This role will assist the Credit Union in living out its mission of building lifelong financial relationships in order to maximize the financial well-being of the members, by providing outstanding service to both members and employees. 

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Masters degree in business administration or related field is required. 
  • At least ten years’ leadership experience in a progressive financial institution environment is preferred. 

Credit Union Teller (2 Positions Available)

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Teller to join our Ashland Credit Union business at our Ashland, KY location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company. This position will report to Assistant Member Representative.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Deliver service in alignment with ACU’s Service Standards, Policies and Procedures.
  • Cross-sell credit union products by answering inquiries, informing members of new services and product promotions.
  • Responsible for making sure all appropriate regulations are followed when conducting transactions. Ex. OFAC searches, Third Party Authorization Forms, Currency Transaction Reports, Suspicious Activity Monitoring.
  • Excellent  Customer Service
