Ashland, Kentucky Location:

IT Support Specialist

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Specialist to join our Ashland Credit Union business at our Ashland, KY location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and its IT Department. This position will report to the Credit Union VP of IT & Marketing.

 

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Resolving first-level in-person and phone-based support inquiries from both current and prospective members as well as employees.
  • Installation, deployment, and configuration of the organization’s user accounts, computer systems and applications.
  • Maintenance and monitoring of the network, workstations, data systems, servers, and software.
  • Analysis of support inquiries to discover and resolve underlying issues and or trends.
  • Diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
  • Execution of daily and monthly processing checklists while minimizing errors.
  • Occasional travel, including both single and multi-day outings. May include unplanned travel to respond to and/or resolve incidents.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • A minimum of an associate degree in computer science or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in information technology or technical support
  • Extensive familiarity with Windows operating systems and networks as well as desktop productivity software.
  • Willingness to work odd or irregular hours on occasion, both planned and unplanned, in order to perform maintenance, respond to incidents, or investigate and resolve unplanned system or service outages.
  • Ability to lift computer equipment of up to 50 pounds and work in tight spaces to connect equipment.

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

  • 1-3 years of customer service experience
  • Experience supporting and/or administering VMWare, MS SQL Server, WordPress, AIX Operating System.
  • Knowledge of banking and credit union principles Applicable IT certifications (such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CISSP, MCSE)

Credit Union Processor

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Credit Union Processor to join our Ashland Credit Union business at our Ashland, KY location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Credit Union function. This position will report to Member Service Manager.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Maintain efficient and accurate teller functions
  • Answer member and non-member question
  • Complete required logs, reports, and records
  • Represent the Credit Union in a professional manner
  • Guard member privacy

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years cash handling experience
  • The ability to communicate professionally
  • Above average desire to help people
  • Comfortable working with numbers

Credit Analyst

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Credit Analyst to join our Ashland Credit Union business at our Ashland, KY site. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Lending function. This position will report to Lending Manager.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Analyze and review application and loan documents for completeness, accuracy and compliance with Ashland Credit Union lending policies.
  • Analyze credit reports, income documents and other supporting documentation submitted by members for the purposes of obtaining credit.
  • Calculate and analyze all applicable financial ratios, property appraisals and other asset values submitted by members for the purposes of obtaining credit.
  • Structure approved loan requests within ACU lending guidelines.
  • Effectively communicate reasoning behind credit decisions to Loan Officers, Management, and ACU Board Members.
  • Strictly adhere to all ACU policies, procedures and applicable state and federal compliance standards to protect our members and the credit union from financial harm.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2 to 4 Years working in the Financial Services Industry
  • 1 To 3 Years’ Experience in Lending and Credit Analysis

Cottage Grove, Minnesota Location:

Credit Union Operations Manager

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Manager of Credit Union Operations to join Ashland Credit Union at our Cottage Grove Branch located at 8711 East Pt. Douglas Road S#101 in Cottage Grove Minnesota. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company. This position will report to the CEO and VP of Operations.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

•    Serve as the leader and direct report for all loan officers, mortgage loan originators, credit analysts, and collection/asset protection specialists at the Ashland Credit Union Cottage Grove branch.
•    Manage the day-to-day lending, deposit, and collection functions for the Cottage Grove branch location.
•    Assist executive management team during planning sessions with developing a sales and collection strategy that result in a profitable and quality loan portfolio.
•    Prepare daily, weekly, and month-end reports to effectively manage sales and service goals established by the credit union to ensure team members are achieving productivity and quality service benchmarks.
•    Coordinate work and vacation schedules of assigned personnel to ensure adequate staffing levels for the Ashland Credit Union Cottage Grove branch location.
•    Review and update all assigned lending, collection, and asset protection policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations.
•    Attend monthly board meetings and at least one ALM committee meeting each quarter.
•    Develop each employee to their highest potential by identifying their areas for improvement and appropriately coaching, training or correcting the employees’ performance.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

•    A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree 

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

•    Master’s degree or above preferred
•    Two years of management experience preferred
•    Consumer and real estate lending experience preferred
•    Experience working at a financial institution preferred
