Ashland, Kentucky Location:

Credit Union Assistant Branch Manager

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Credit Union Assistant Branch Manager to join our Ashland Credit Union business at our Ashland, KY location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the day to day function. This position will report to the Member Service Manager.

 

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Deliver service in alignment with ACU’s Service Standards, Policies and Procedures

  • Supervise activities of the teller operations by assigning work, answering questions, solving problems, assisting with complex transactions and sensitive member relations problems.  Confirm that staff is adequately trained and cross-trained to ensure the delivery of quality member service.

  • Train, coach and motivate tellers to achieve ACU established sales and service goals by regularly holding informal training and coaching sessions

  • Review daily teller balancing reports for each ACU branch location.  Address any out of balance situation in a timely manner

  • Maintain comprehensive and up to date knowledge of all state and Federal regulations applicable to teller transactions. Ensure all lobby signage complies with said regulations.

  •  Maintain detailed knowledge of the ACU product and service guide to proactively assist tellers with cross-sell opportunities

  • Primary contact for daily member service questions, issues, and complaints.  Review and approve member exceptions including the authorization of fee refunds.

  • Oversee document retention and quality control specialist to ensure all deposit related documents are properly scanned in accordance with scanning the proper documents to meet compliance requirements

  • Review and update all procedures related to teller and deposit services to ensure compliance with state and Federal regulations.  Draft new procedures when current processes change and/or new regulations mandate the issuance of such.

  • Perform secondary BSA/AML Officer duties that include filing CTR and SAR reports within designated timeframes in conjunction with FinCen required duties.

  • Plan and coordinate all work and vacation schedules of assigned personnel to guarantee adequate staffing levels and maximum branch efficiency.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Minimum 3 years experience working in a financial services environment
  • 4-year college degree in business or related field
  • Excellent communication and problem research skills
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products (Word,Excel,etc.)
  • Ability to work Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm EST

Credit Union Loan Support Supervisor

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Credit Union Lending Support Supervisor to join our Ashland Credit Union business at our Ashland, KY. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Lending function. This position will report to Lending Manager. 

 

  • The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Deliver service in alignment with ACU’s Service Standards, Policies and Procedures.
    • Perform credit analysis on consumer loan applications while reviewing applications for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with ACU’s consumer lending policies and procedures.
    • Monitor loan payments setups to ensure accuracy and efficiency according to each member’s request.  Maintain detailed knowledge of all ACU payment options.
    • Oversee quality control in obtaining all necessary loan documents to guarantee accuracy and completeness.
    • Supervise scanning of all ACU documents to confirm accuracy and retention in accordance with ACU’s Board approved Master Retention Schedule.  Audit document scanning for completeness.
    • Manage the recording of ACU’s security interest on all collateralized loans to ensure liens are perfected correctly and timely.  Track status on all delinquent lien perfections. Ensure members are educated on title requirements.
    • Transfer documents periodically to ACU’s off-site storage facility.  Track documents marked for periodic destruction.  Ensure, when applicable, litigation holds are placed on all relevant documents and records in a timely manner.
    • Other duties as requested by the President, EVP or Loan Manager

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Associates degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a financial services environment with at least 3 years in consumer lending.
  • Excellent communication and problem research skills
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to work Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm

Accounting Supervisor

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Supervisor to join the Ashland Credit Union at our Ashland, KY location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Financial department. This position will report to the Financial Vice President.

 

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage the financial, accounting, and bookkeeping functions of the credit union to include AP, AR, budget, GL, investments, financial analysis, financial reporting and recordkeeping, and taxes.
  • Responsible for fixed-asset management.  Setup and run all prepaid and fixed asset items in the depreciation program.  Dispose of fixed assets as needed.
  • Responsible for general ledger reconciliation, analysis of financial accounts, and preparation of journal entries.  Assist with end-of-month close and creation of monthly financial statements.
  • Manage credit union cash, including wire transfer of funds between correspondent banks & investment firms and ordering of currency for branch vaults & ATMs.
  • Manage departmental document archiving, ensuring accounting records are maintained accurately and in compliance with laws, regulations, and the ACU retention policy.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures for the accounting department.  Ensure that policies and procedures reflect current regulations and that the accounting procedures are in strict compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Oversee Vendor Management Program.
  • Assist with financial statement audits and examinations.
  • Other duties as requested by the President, EVP or VP.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years Accounting experience
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Excellent analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm EST

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

  • Financial Institution experience
  • Management experience
