Call Center Representative

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Call Center Representative to join Ashland Credit Union at our Ashland, Kentucky location. This position will report to the Call Center Supervisor. 

The Call Center Representative will serve as the first point of contact for our membership by responding to a wide array of inbound support questions via the telephone or thru e-mail regarding member accounts and other products and services. 

 

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Assure calls are answered in a timely manner and information provided is prompt, detailed and accurate while remaining compliant with all government regulations.
    • Listen attentively to member needs and concerns and offer advice. Research and solve member questions, problems, and complainants concerning their credit union account.  Ensure proper follow up on member inquiries when necessary.
    • Offer additional credit union products and services which will improve a member’s financial well-being, when appropriate.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • High school diploma
  • Strong relationship building, communication and listening skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

  • Prior financial institution experience
  • Prior call center or customer service experience

Consumer Loan Officer

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Consumer Loan Officer to join our Ashland Credit Union  business at our Ashland, KY Location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Lending function. This position will report to Lending Manager.

 

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Meet quarterly growth and production initiatives
  • Provide outstanding member service and help ACU live its mission.
  • Work with members over the phone and in person to improve their financial well-being
  • Adhere to all ACU policies , procedures and applicable state and federal compliance standards.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in Financial Services Industry
  • High School Diploma
  • Experience  working in Customer Service Environment

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

  • 2 Years Lending Experience

Head Teller

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Head Teller position to join our Ashland Credit Union business at our Ashland, KY location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company. This position will report to Member Service Manager.

 

  • The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Deliver service in alignment with ACU’s Service Standards, Policies and Procedures.
    • Guide teller staff on complex transactions and approve cash withdrawals overrides on authorization limits.Schedule teller shifts, vacation and lunch schedules to guarantee teller line coverage.
    • Provide access to the vault and safety deposit boxes.  Responsible for sending out safety deposit box invoices and running the billing cycle each month.
    • Replenish and troubleshoot ATM machine.
    • Supervise tellers and their cash drawers.  Assist tellers for the cause of an overage or shortage when drawer does not balance correctly.
    • Order appropriate cash weekly for branch activity and maintain appropriate levels of cash in the branch according to credit union policy. Responsible for making sure vault is in balance to GL each day
    • Responsible for dual control logs used to monitor vault entry and night drops.
    • Cross-sell credit union products by answering inquiries, informing members of new services and product promotions.  Motivating teller team to remain friendly and professional at all times and also meet cross selling goals.
    • Train new tellers on credit union practices and procedures.
    • Handle member complaints that are related to the teller line and request fee reversals for members that qualify.
    • Record Retention for teller transaction documents
    • Other duties as requested by the President, EVP or manage

Mortgage Loan Processor 

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Mortgage Loan Processor to join our Ashland Credit Union business in Ashland, Kentucky location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the credit union function. This position will report to Mortgage Vice President.

 

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Collect and verify employment, financial data, asset, and liability information. Calculate member’s monthly income and expense ratios.  Follow up with members via telephone, email, or face-to-face to obtain necessary documentation.
  • Answer member specific questions related to the mortgage process and assist the member with deciding the correct mortgage product to meet their needs.
  • Provide all applicable disclosures.  Calculate closing costs and provide member with loan estimate.
  • Coordinate and satisfy follow-up requests from underwriters. 
  • Order and check credit report to determine credit worthiness.  Request and evaluate real estate appraisal.  Request flood certification to determine if property is or is not in a flood zone. Request and evaluate title report and/or title commitment.
  • Prepare closing package.  Research and resolve all items in the closing package to ensure closing process is on‐time and documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Knowledge of conventional and government loan programs, including FHA, VA, and USDA loans. Knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, including the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Truth in Lending Act (Reg Z, TILA) and the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA).
  • Conform with all Fair Lending and anti-discrimination laws set forth by the NCUA and other applicable regulatory bodies.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • 2+ years’ experience in mortgage processing or similar role
  • High school diploma or GED required.  2-year college degree preferred.
  • Ability to multitask in a potentially high pressure and time sensitive environment
  • Excellent mathematical and statistical aptitude
  • Independent worker with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate clearly and professionally

Vice President Member Experience

Ashland Credit Union is looking for a skilled, well-versed financial services executive to join their team as Vice President Member Experience. Reporting to the Executive Vice President and working in collaboration with the senior management team, this position will oversee the consumer lending, member service, and marketing departments by ensuring consistent, quality service in all areas, recommending new and competitive programs and services, and continually evaluating each department’s strategic direction. This role will assist the Credit Union in living out its mission of building lifelong financial relationships in order to maximize the financial well-being of the members, by providing outstanding service to both members and employees.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Masters degree in business administration or related field is required. 
  • At least ten years’ leadership experience in a progressive financial institution or retail environment is preferred. 

Vice President Collections, Business Services, and Mortgage

Ashland Credit Union is looking for an experienced financial executive to join their team as Vice President over Collections, Business Services, and Mortgage. Reporting to the Executive Vice President and working in collaboration with the senior management team, this position will oversee the mortgage, collections, and business services departments by identifying industry trends and performance indicators, recommending new programs and services, and continually evaluating each department’s strategic direction. This role will assist the Credit Union in living out its mission of building lifelong financial relationships in order to maximize the financial well-being of the members, by providing outstanding service to both members and employees.
